The Thinking Football Summit 2022 confirms three new speakers from Spain
Javier Morente, Melcior Soler and Ramon Amich will be in Porto in November
The Thinking Football Summit 2022 wants to establish itself as a world-class sporting event and, with that in mind, proceeds to come up with new additions that you can find between November 18th and 20th, at the Super Bock Arena - Pavilhão Rosa Mota.
This week, the Grand Professional Football Fair confirms the presence of three new speakers, all from Spain and all with notable careers in the industry.
Firstly, Javier Morente. Javier joined LaLiga in 2017. He currently works in the Chairman’s Office, and he is the Head of Relations with International Sports Associations, such as UEFA, FIFA, European Leagues, etc.
Before joining LaLiga, Javier worked at Deloitte Sports Consulting, mainly involved in international projects. He worked in Gabon (Africa) in the professionalization of the national football league, in Peru (South America) in the organization of the Lima 2019 Pan American Games, and in Chile (South America) developing the country's Strategic Plan for Physical Activity and Sport.
Melcior Soler, Director of the Audiovisual Area of LaLiga, has also confirmed his presence at the Thinking Football Summit 2022.
The Director developed his professional career in television, working for "Televisió de Catalunya" as a journalist and reporter and holding the position of director of the sports sector in the Sogecable group, now called DTS. In 2008, he founded his audiovisual and sports consultancy company and has worked with both television operators and sports organisations, including Real Madrid C.F, NBA, F.C Barcelona and Dorna Sports.
Last but not least, we have Ramon Amich, current General Director of Nielsen Sports for Spain and Portugal and, since 2022, also the company's Strategy Director for the same territories.
Among other companies, he developed his professional career in the pharmaceutical company Bayer - between Leverkusen and Barcelona - and in the Berlin branch of COPCA (Generalitat de Catalunya). In 2005, he entered the sports sponsorship sector via SPORT+MARKT, founded in 2011 together with Repucom, a company that became part of Nielsen in 2016.
