The Thinking Football Summit 2022 continues to take shape and keeps introducing new speakers every week, now announcing three more names from the Football industry.
Vicente Portal has been part of Southampton FC's Scouting Department since 2021. His career in professional football began in 2017 at CD Aves, when he was part of the Scouting Department. In 2019 he signed for FC Famalicão as a Scout, where he helped the club prepare for their debut season in the top tier of Portuguese football, 25 years after their last presence. Then at Southampton FC, he was initially responsible for scouting players in Portugal and Spain but, within a very short period of time, he also took charge of scouting functions in the entire South American market.
Also, on this list of new speakers, Simon Oliveira is Managing Director and Founder of KIN Partners, one of the leading talent & creative IP companies in Sport and Entertainment. KIN Partners has already made significant headway in the industry in a short space of time. Working alongside unique and well-established talents that include David Beckham, Neymar Jr., Owen Farrell, Katie Boulter amongst others, KIN also mentors and manages over 40 talented young players across England, Belgium and the Netherlands. The new speaker was also Vice-President at 19 Entertainment for 10 years, closely collaborating with Beckham and other talents including Lewis Hamilton, Muhammad Ali and Andy Murray. Oliveira is an Honorary Fellow for UNICEF and sits on the Sports Board for NSPCC.
Last but not least, Oliver Seitz is currently Head of Business Intelligence at United World and lecturer on the Football Business course at the Johan Cruyff Institute - FC Barcelona. He started his career as Head of Marketing at Coritiba Football Club, where, in 2012, he was awarded the best Overseas Marketing campaign by the FC Business Awards in London. Seitz was subsequently Head of Marketing at Jacquet Brossard, a French multinational consumer goods company. In 2015 he moved to London to lecture on the Football Business course at UCFB, in partnership with the FA. In 2016 he worked as a consultant for organisations and clubs. Already in 2019, he took over the Scouting and Data Analysis Departments at Club Athelico Paranaense.
