The Thinking Football Summit 2024 secures international recognition
The third edition of the summit achieved its strongest international presence to date, according to the Liga Portugal Barometer and Observatory report
Held from September 12 to 14 at the Super Bock Arena in Porto, the Thinking Football Summit has now established itself as a major event in the global football industry, as highlighted by the recent Liga Portugal report.
Over the course of three days, the summit hosted 110 panels across five stages, featuring 284 speakers and 120 companies from 24 countries, discussing key issues shaping the present and future of football.
A total of 76 clubs, leagues, federations, associations, and confederations attended the event. Among the standout participants were global organizations like FIFA, UEFA, La Liga, and the Premier League, as well as top clubs such as PSG, Juventus, FC Barcelona, and Real Madrid, alongside every professional football club in Portugal.
The international impact of the event was reflected in the extensive media coverage, with 712 articles reaching over 69 million views in prominent outlets like AS (Spain), BBC Sport (UK), L’Équipe (France), and Mundo Deportivo (Spain). The media presence was particularly strong in France (140 articles), Spain (108 articles), and Italy (99 articles).
Featuring 62 exhibitors and various brand activations, the third edition of the summit, which has brought leading figures from the football and sports world to Porto over the last three years, also attracted prestigious partners such as APEX Capital, TAP, 433, Oracle, LG, EY, Allianz, and Betclic.
The event’s success extended beyond media reach, drawing larger audiences as well. The combination of two events, the Thinking Football Summit and the LP Experience, offered a comprehensive view of football, from the bottom to the top, attracting thousands of attendees to the Super Bock Arena, in Porto.
