Paulo Meneses discusses the transition of FC P. Ferreira's management model
President of the Pacenses confirmed advanced negotiations and praises the stance of Liga Portugal
The President of FC P. Ferreira, Paulo Meneses, was present at the Thinking Football Summit, where, in a conversation with Ivo Costa, a SportTV journalist, he discussed the club's transition from the SDUQ model to SAD, a process that is close to being finalised.
‘It's public and notorious that we have negotiations at a very advanced stage with two clubs that are at the base of this consortium that wants to invest in FC P. Ferreira, which is Celta de Vigo and Indenpendiente del Valle, from Ecuador. We're at the stage where we're making progress. As long as we fulfil the conditions that we listed from the start, I think we can get married. But that marriage will have to have the minimum guarantees for it to be a happy one. Each of us has to respect that,’ he revealed, detailing the proposal on the table.
‘The plan is for the investment to be 10 million euros, for 80 per cent of the capital, and for FC P. Ferreira to be able to meet its current liabilities with this amount,’ said the top leader of the club.
In this transition, Paulo Meneses praised the position of Liga Portugal, which he considers essential in the process. ‘These investors didn't just turn up. They turned up knowing what they were coming for and who they were contacting. Liga PortugalThe has a great deal of influence here. A responsible investor tries to understand who the club is and will naturally knock on the door of those who know it best. And at the moment, in terms of capacity and also identity, that institution is Liga Portugal itself, which has contributed and has been contributing,’ he concluded.
