Pedro Pinto will be the host for the third edition of the Thinking Football Summit
After hosting the first two editions of the Thinking Football Summit, Pedro Pinto will return to a stage he knows so well to take on the role once again at the third edition of the summit, which will take place between 12 and 14 September at the Super Bock Arena in Porto.
Pedro Pinto is a communications professional with more than 20 years' experience in the media and sports sectors. He is the founder and CEO of Empower Sports, an international PR and communications agency that works with athletes, coaches, clubs and brands.
He was in charge of UEFA's communications department from 2014 to 2018, directing all editorial and digital content, consultancy and corporate communications campaigns for the European football governing body.
He spent more than a decade at CNN International as an anchor, sports reporter and executive producer, covering the world's best events and interviewing athletes. He presented the World Sport programme from CNN's headquarters in Atlanta and from the European studios in London. Pedro was born in Lisbon and is fluent in Portuguese, English, Spanish and French. Thanks to his professional and networking experience, he is directly connected to the most influential journalists and stakeholders in world football.
The announcement of Pedro Pinto as host of the event is the 11th confirmation for the third edition of the Thinking Football Summit, in a batch that includes names such as Deco, former Portuguese international and current Sporting Director of FC Barcelona, Claire Bloomfield, Director of Women's Football at the European Club Association, Bianca Rech, Director of Women's Football at Bayern Munich, or Stefano Braghin, Director of Women's Football at Juventus.
