As the start date of what will be the great fair of Professional Football approaches, the Thinking Football Summit 2022 continues to add quality to its speaker panels, this time with three new confirmations: Luís Castro, Bruno Brum and Carlos Pereira.
Luís Castro is a 60-year-old Portuguese coach, currently at the service of Botafogo, a team competing in Brasileirão, the top tier of Brazilian Football. With a career on the rise, Luís Castro began to gain notoriety at FC Porto, having one of his greatest moments of glory when he won the Liga Portugal SABSEG for the blue and whites' B team. It was a unique achievement, considering that a secondary team had never won the competition. After his departure from FC Porto, the coach still coached Rio Ave FC, GD Chaves, Vitória SC and Shakhtar Donetsk, in what was his first experience abroad.
At the Ukrainian club, he won the local championship and did well in Europe, reaching the semi-final of the Europa League. His achievements sparked interest from clubs all over the globe, and he then went on to take charge of Al Duhail, where he won the Emir Cup, Qatar's most prestigious competition. Currently, he has accepted the challenge of rebuilding Botafogo, a sleeping giant that, this season, returned to the top level of Brazilian football.
Bruno Brum is currently the marketing pillar and partner of one of the largest companies in the Brazilian sports market, End to End. In this company, the Brazilian marketeer collaborates with big local football clubs, such as Palmeiras, Grémio, Atlético Mineiro and Santos.
His curriculum also includes work at large advertising agencies, where he has worked with various brands such as Itaú and Petrobras. Apart from the aforementioned, Bruno Brum was also responsible for the digital team of the Brazilian giant, Fluminense, for two years.
Last but not least, we have Carlos Pereira, a Portuguese manager who is head of marketing and sponsorship at Galp Energia S.A. Among other responsibilities, he oversees the global strategy of the well-known energy company.
With a long career in management and marketing, Carlos Pereira has held positions in companies such as Portugal Telecom and its subsidiary in Cape Verde, CMóvel, thus having accumulated experience also on the African continent.
In 2015, he joined Altice Portugal, in charge of product marketing and business trends, followed in 2018 by Galp Energia S.A., where he remains today.
