Jacco Swart, Alberto Colombo, Daniel Sá and Carlos Daniel are the new names confirmed for the event, which will take place between the 18th and 20th of November next year
The Thinking Football Summit 2022 line-up continues to take shape and, this Thursday, four more speakers have been announced for the last event to be held on European soil before the World Cup in Qatar.
The most recent additions to the great Professional Football summit are: Jacco Swart, Managing Director at the European Leagues, Alberto Colombo, Deputy Secretary-General at the European Leagues, Daniel Sá, Executive Director at the Portuguese Institute of Marketing Administration (IPAM), and Carlos Daniel, Deputy Director of Information at RTP.
They are, therefore, four relevant names, not only on the national scene, but also at an international level. Regarding Alberto Colombo, he is the Deputy Secretary-General at the European Leagues, the organisation that brings together more than 38 Professional Football leagues, representing more than 1000 clubs in 31 countries across Europe.
Hence, Jacco Swart has a vast experience in the Professional Football industry in the Netherlands and internationally, describing himself as "focused, determined and with good communication skills". In addition, he is a specialist in stakeholder management, strategic and business planning as well as event organisation.
Also from the European Leagues, and as part of the strategic partnership recently agreed with Liga Portugal, Alberto Colombo will also be present at the Thinking Football Summit 2022. He is the Deputy Secretary-General at the European Leagues, having joined the European organisation in 2008, after professional experiences in major sporting events such as the Olympic Games, the Association of International Olympic Winter Sports Federations or the America's Cup (sailing).
Alberto Colombo joined the European Leagues in 2008 and has professional experience in major sporting events such as the Olympic Games and the America's Cup (sailing). He is a sports industry director with experience in Football governance, stakeholder relations, media, event management, sports integrity and intellectual property rights. He also deals with European Union public affairs and sports policy issues and has served on several occasions as a member of the European Commission's Expert Groups on Sports Policy.
Daniel Sá is currently Executive Director at IPAM, the leading marketing school in Portugal and a benchmark internationally. He has a PhD in Marketing, a master's degree in Sports Management and a degree in Marketing Management, as well as 24 years of professional experience in four business sectors: sports, retail, communications and education.
He has dedicated more than 20 years to Sports Marketing, having become an opinion leader in this area. He is co-author of two books "Marketing for Sport - A Business Game" and "Sports Marketing: The New Rules of the Game", having also published various scientific articles, studies and opinion articles, with participation as a speaker at over 100 national and international conferences. He is also responsible for conducting several studies on the economic impact of sporting events, stadium attendance or the value of the CR7 brand, which have generated more than 3,000 news articles in national and international press, published in several media channels such as TV Globo, Forbes, Marca, The Guardian, El País, Yahoo and Eurosport.
Last but not least, Carlos Daniel is the name that completes the new panel of confirmed speakers at the Thinking Football Summit 2022. He is one of the most renowned and versatile Portuguese journalists and a pivotal name in television journalism. He began his career in journalism in 1989, at Rádio Comercial, and joined Antena 1 the following year. In 1991, he joined RTP, where he increased his curriculum by hosting several sports and political programmes, always conducted with excellence.
He is currently the anchor-man of "É ou não é? - o grande debate da RTP1", as well as being the presenter of several documentaries on the social and historical reality of the country that the public TV station has presented since 2019. Fronteiras XXI, Grande Área, Trio d'Ataque, Debate da Nação, À Noite As Notícias, Ordem do Dia and Termómetro Político are some of the programs where the journalist left his mark. He graduated in Sociology, in 1994, from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto, was Deputy Director of RTP-Porto between 2016 and 2018 and is currently the Deputy Director of Information at RTP.
