The Thinking Football Summit will be featuring four more renowned speakers

Daniel Barreira, Sandro Orlandelli, Luís Villas-Boas Pires and Jorge Oliveira e Carmo are the new names confirmed for the event that will take place between the 18th and 20th of November 2022.

The high-profile panel for the Thinking Football Summit 2022 continues to take shape, after four more speakers being announced this Friday, and who will be attending the last event to be held in Europe right before the World Cup in Qatar.

This time, the new-confirmed speakers are Daniel Barreira, Coach at the national technical training structure of the Portuguese Football Federation, Sandro Orlandelli, Technical Coordinator at Red Bull Bragantino, Luís Villas-Boas Pires, Head of the Agents Department at FIFA and, also, Jorge Oliveira e Carmo, Head of the Data Protection Department at FIFA.

They are, therefore, four prominent names not only in the national football scene, but also on an international level. Regarding Daniel Barreira, it is worth mentioning an entire past dedicated to the football industry, where he worked as an international scout at FC Barcelona (2014-2021), having also represented clubs such as Boavista FC, CD Trofense and Vitória SC. His experience goes beyond the pitch, as he is also the author of several books and academic articles and a lecturer on courses across Europe, North and South America.

Sandro Orlandelli, who is currently working on one of the most enticing projects in Brazilian football, has worked for top European clubs, including Arsenal FC - where he was head of the scouting department between 2002 and 2012 - and also Manchester United FC, where he worked as a scout between 2016 and 2019, under José Mourinho's coaching staff.

Moving on in the list of new-confirmed speakers, it is now time to introduce Luís Villas-Boas Pires. The current Head of the Agents Department at FIFA - who has started his duties in October 2019 -, is a renowned Portuguese lawyer, with 18 years of experience in several law fields. It is therefore not surprising that he previously worked as a senior lawyer at FIFA, where he dealt with more than 100 cases related with ethics. He is currently responsible for the implementation of the new legal framework for football agents, having also obtained the Goalkeeping Intermediate Certificate, issued by the Scottish Football Association.

Last but not least, we introduce Jorge Oliveira e Carmo. After growing up in Lisbon and studying Law at the University of Freiburg, Germany, the current Head of the Data Protection Department at FIFA started researching on privacy and data protection at the Max-Planck Institute during the Snowden revelations in 2013.  With unparalleled expertise in this field, Jorge Oliveira e Carmo is head of a leading privacy department in the world of sport and has the mission to support FIFA's objective of making football a truly global industry.

Scheduled to take place between November 18th and 20th, 2022, at the Super Bock Arena - Pavilhão Rosa Mota, in Porto, the Thinking Football Summit continues to take steady steps to meet the high expectations of what is expected to be a benchmark event at international level.
