The tech giant will be one of the leading brands at the Super Bock Arena
The Thinking Football Summit and LG have agreed to make the South Korean company the Official Tech Partner of the Grand Professional Football Fair, to be held in Porto on 7, 8 and 9 September.
LG will be one of the brands present at the Super Bock Arena during the three days in which the city will live and breathe football. It will have its stand in the event's activation zone, where its latest innovations will be shown to the public.
LG will also sponsor a panel dedicated to improving the fan experience through the redesigning of sports venues. As this is one of the most important issues for the industry's future, the technology brand will combine its experience in this area with other speakers specialising in this field to give the attendees a different and specialised view of this increasingly fundamental issue.
"The signing of this partnership is extremely satisfying for us, as we have no doubt that this is a great victory for both parties," said João Medeiros Cardoso, CEO of Liga Portugal Comercial. "The Thinking Football Summit is a groundbreaking, international event that aims to connect the football industry through innovation and technology. Having such a high-profile technological partner only demonstrates the level that the event has already reached and also our ambitions for its future growth," he concluded.
"Sport is one of the areas in which LG has developed and invested during its 20 years in the domestic market, keeping pace with innovation in the field. From esports to digital signage solutions used in football stadiums around the world, the fan and player experience is at the heart of everything we do. The same goes for our premium TV range, which allows you to create a real stadium at home thanks to unbeatable image quality and specific features," says Hugo Jorge, Marketing Director of LG Portugal. "For this reason, the partnership with Liga Portugal and the Thinking Football Summit makes perfect sense, as it allows us to think about the future of technology in football in Portugal and, at the same time, strengthen our proximity to a sector that is highly strategic for us, presenting B2C solutions for sports fans and B2B solutions for companies and institutions that want to improve the experience of their fans during matches."
